As a Construction Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our projects. You’ll collaborate with the leadership team to analyze project requirements, estimate costs, and ensure that bids are both accurate and competitive. Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimating: Accurately estimate costs for labor, materials, and other construction resources by reviewing project drawings, specifications, and scope.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive bids for both public and private projects, ensuring all project costs are identified and accounted for.
  • Project Analysis: Review project requirements and collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in cost estimations.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports on project estimates, provide regular updates to leadership, and keep track of project performance against original estimates.
  • Multi-Project Management: Manage multiple estimating tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction estimator, preferably with a general contracting background. Experience in commercial construction
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction estimating software Bluebeam.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with external partners.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to review complex project details and adjust estimates accordingly.
  • Education: Degree in construction or finance
